THOMAS LÜTHI
beekeeper
Thomas Lüthi has been keeping bees since 2012. He has established and maintained apiaries throughout the Morges district, from the shores of Lake Geneva to the foothills of the Jura Mountains. He began with introductory beekeeping courses at the SAR (Société Anonyme de Recherche) agricultural school, open to all, at the Domaine de Marcelin (Morges). He then pursued beekeeping courses at the La Côte apicultural school. This training provided him with a solid foundation in beekeeping. Furthermore, the often unconventional schools he attended undoubtedly equipped him with a wealth of skills for a profession that intersects with so many other fields, including woodworking, the use of various tools for maintenance, repairs, and equipment adaptations, and the tools used by landscapers for maintaining the areas surrounding apiaries. His passion for beekeeping began in his youth, observing a wild bee colony.
